Following on from the Access, Audience Development and Interpretation Plans, this study identified a range of exciting opportunities for volunteers from the local community of the Birmingham Jewellery Quarter and inner city Ladywood to work in a wide range of roles including: developing storylines and events; creative artistic responses; front of house; leading guided tours; carrying out research; collections management and representing the community in a governance role. It also looked at the training needs and opportunities for staff and volunteers and the potential for apprenticeships and heritage craft skills development during the restoration.
