Expert
advice for UNESCO,on production of nomination document for World Heritage
Site bid. Produced Management Plan, and monitoring
report on the current condition and issues affecting the management of an
extensive cultural landscape consisting of more than 1000 temples and monastic
sites and other cultural monuments. She was part of an international team
of three consultants who advised the Site Archaeologist, Custodians and Ministry
of Culture on site management.

Plan for World Heritage Site Strategy Group.
Sabbath Walks Project, Coalbrookdale: Local Heritage Initiative
Pilot Project on training in research skills, reminiscence,
conservation and access improvements using local volunteers,
in partnership with the Severn Gorge Countryside Trust, and Shropshire
Records and Research. The project involved evaluation of a methodology
for working with local groups, to inform the launch of the main LHI
programme and preparation of a Conservation Management Plan for
the woodland walks.
Weoley Castle, Birmingham
Feasibility
Study for access, management and public presentation of Weoley Castle
Scheduled Ancient Monument. The project involved extensive community
consultation in an area of social deprivation in a large 1930s social
housing estate. The community consultation involved organisation
of a popular open day on site, and workshops with local residents
groups, schools, youth clubs, detached youth workers, and neighbourhood
teams. The study explored a range of options and provided a strategy
and action plan for development for Birmingham Museums and Art Gallery.
Weoley Castle, Birmingham
Conservation
Management Plan for Weoley Castle, a high status medieval moated
manor house, excavated in the 1930s and 1960s and open for public
presentation from the 1950s. Closed for 10 years, as a result of
vandalism, and currently on the English Heritage at risk register. Conservation
Management Plan prepared in support of a Heritage Lottery Fund bid,
for Birmingham Museums and Art Gallery.
Aberlleiniog Castle, Anglesey
Audience
Development Plan and Education Plan for a motte and bailey castle
with later masonry superstructure and fine views out across the Menai
Straits, sited within the local nature reserve and river valley of
Afon Lleiniog. The study involved a review of the current and potential
users of the site and woodlands and an assessment of the physical and intellectual
barriers, with recommendations on how to remove them. Interview surveys
were carried out with local residents, visitors and local schools. Prepared
in support of a Heritage Lottery Fund bid, for Menter Mon and Llangoed & Penmon
Community Council.
